Ksyrium has always been synonymous with the finest aluminium wheelset technology. The new Ksyrium SL Disc follows in the footsteps of the venerable Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro and lives up to that standard. If you’re looking for an aluminium wheelset for weekend races and training rides, wherever the road takes you, this is your best choice. This new wheel is super-light (120 g lighter than the previous Ksyrium Elite UST Disc) and, thanks to patented ISM4D technology, as durable as ever. This manufacturing process removes all excess material between the individual spoke holes, whilst the rim wall remains thick enough where spoke tension and stress are highest. These rims are manufactured in France, at Mavic’s aluminium rim factory.

The double-butted spokes help to reduce weight and make the wheel more responsive. These spokes also feature a patented elliptical shape that can save 5 watts, thereby providing additional efficiency. Stiffness is optimised by Fore technology. The upper flange is undrilled, ensuring it remains stable and stiff and does not require rim tape (a further 30 g saving per wheel). The new rim bed design makes it easier than ever to fit and remove tyres, and UST tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip whilst reducing the risk of punctures. The new Infinity hub platform optimises stiffness and power transfer with highly controlled spoke tension, whilst the Instant Drive 360 freehub, combined with the automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto), ensures quick engagement and long-lasting durability. Designed specifically for disc brakes, the wheels are compatible with a 12x100 axle at the front and a 12x142 axle at the rear, and can be converted to quick-release with adapters.
